Mandatory for corporations that exceed at least two of the following thresholds for two consecutive years:
Required for AGs (Aktiengesellschaft) and GmbHs (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung) that do not meet the thresholds for an ordinary audit. While less extensive, a Limited Audit Switzerland still ensures compliance and provides assurance to shareholders, creditors, and partners.
Very small companies with fewer than 10 employees can opt out of a limited audit, but only with unanimous shareholder approval.
